A beta is generally a weak-willed person who avoids conflict, preferring to agree to get along. Betas usually have deep emotional needs, craving acceptance and validation from people they admire. This can make betas easy to manipulate using their emotions (with lots of positivity, praise and encouragement). Betas usually do not respond well to threats of violence or pain, but will endure humiliation and other forms of ‘negative' treatment as long as their emotional needs are being met.
